Background

DSM Arcade designs and manufactures modern arcade games. They approached me to reskin their game, Perfect Pour, under a new partnership with Pabst Blue Ribbon. I wore a ton of hats for this project —creating a unique brand identity, designing the full cabinet exterior, developing a new direction for the game art, illustrating all of the characters, and reimagining the UI.

01 Branding

The identity for Perfect Pour x PBR needed to feel at home in a range of environments—from a quirky indie barcade to a neighborhood dive. My intention for this brand was to tap into a sense of nostalgia that didn’t blatantly place it in a specific era. That vague vintage feeling allows it to shape-shift between trendy and old-fashioned depending on the reference point of the viewer.

02 User Interface
